Taekwondo

Our Taekwondo program starts from ages 3 and up. At Chu’s Martial Arts, we encourage our students to strive to be the best that they can be!

The Taekwondo programs we offer are Tiny Tigers, Children and Youth and Adults

Tiny Tigers

Caters to children Ages 3 to 5/6 years old.

PHYSICAL FUNDIMENTALS – Tiny Tigers will learn the A.B.C’s of physical development. (Agility, Balance, And Coordination). Learning about their bodies and their range of motion is crucial to developing a strong body and healthy mind.

FOCUS – Improving focus is paramount to building healthy habits. From learning to stand still, remembering movements, to improving the attention span. The lessons that are taught in the dojang are transferrable at home and in school.

EMOTIONAL REGULATION – It is natural for children to experience frustration and a range of emotions while encountering a difficult experience or even when they do not get what they want. We believe in creating obtainable goals to help our students navigate through failure while promoting perseverance constructively.

FUN – We believe in building a relationship with our students through having fun. When tiny tigers are engaged and having fun, they are more receptive to the lessons and are excited about the amazing journey to Blackbelt!

Children’s Classes

Caters to children Ages 6 to 12 years old.

Physical Literacy & Skill Development – Our Children’s Taekwondo program will focus on physical fitness to promote a healthy lifestyle and a strong body. Skill specific exercises that include various kicks and punches will challenge our students to become the best they can be. As students progress, they will be introduced to self defence and sparring exercises as well.

Confidence & Self-esteem – We believe in creating a training environment where students can build lasting friendships as they work together to improve and overcome their martial arts challenges. There is no substitute for hard work. Confidence is found when our students recognize their improvement after every class. Our Instructors will go through great lengths to help all of our students recognize their strengths and nurture the courage to set ambitious goals.

Discipline & Respect – This is the foundation of every martial arts journey. Students learn that respect needs to practiced at all times and in all avenues in life. Through sportsmanship to tradition, our
instructors will teach and provide the same level of respect we will come to expect in each of our students.

Youth/Adult Classes

Caters to students Ages 13 and up.

Skill Development & Stress Management – Students will expect an integration of strength and conditioning, Self Defence, Sparring, and other our martial arts principles in a fast-paced cardio intensive
environment. Our program will be designed to getting the most out of every class, thus helping release the stresses of every day life.

Leadership – We have a social responsibility to empower, inspire, and give the necessary tools for our young leaders to make an impact on the community. Our classes will give opportunities to help our
youth learn about their strengths and provide community support to help them achieve their goals and
become the leaders of tomorrow.

Goal Setting – Our curriculum takes a targeted approach towards goal setting and its importance to every day life. Whether your goals are social, educational, or fitness oriented. Our students will learn the importance of discipline and perseverance in achieving what the desire.
